Faith Formation for Children - Grades 1 through 8

Coordinators:
Judy Ross (1 thru 6)
Kendric Vattuone (7 thru 8)

Your child's faith formation program is important to us. Our faith formation program assists you, the parents, as the primary teachers of your children in matters of faith and morals.

Your parish program makes known to each student the person and message of Jesus Christ. It helps each student know, understand, and appreciate the basic teaching of the Catholic Church.

It helps each student become an integral part of St. Anthony's faith community and participate actively in the life of the community, having at its core the Eucharist.

Faith formation classes for children attending public or non-catholic private school are held as follows:

Grades 1, 3, 4, 5 are on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 4 to 5 pm

Grade 2 (First Communion preparation) is on Wednesday or Thursday from 4 to 5 pm (To participate in the preparation of First Eucharist, students are expected to have been enrolled in a parish or catholic school faith formation program at least a full year before preparing for First Eucharist)

Grade 6 is on Tuesdays, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.

St. Anthony's Confirmation Program starts with 7th grade in preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the 8th grade. (Due to changes in our program this year we will be Confirming both 8th and 9th grades in May 2011).

Classes for 7th grade are every Thursday from 7:15 to 8:30 in the Hall.
Classes for 8th grade are every Wednesday from 7:15 to 8:30 in the Hall.

"Keep as your pattern the sound teaching you have learned from me, in the faith and love that are Christ Jesus. You have been entrusted to look after something precious; guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us." 2 Timothy 1: 13-14
